Pakistan – 50 people from Hindu Families converted to Islam in Sindh province

New Delhi. Forced religious conversions are on the rise in Pakistan, with reports indicating that girls from minority communities are the main targets. According to media reports, 50 members of Hindu families in Sindh province have been forcibly converted to Islam.
The forced conversion reportedly involved 23 women and other from ten Hindu families. Following this incident, a large number of people from Pakistan’s minority communities gathered outside the Lahore Press Club. During the gathering, minority leaders said that temples and mosques are being burnt in the country and people are being killed on charges of blasphemy.
According to reports, there has been an increase in such incidents in recent times, with three to four members of the minority community being deliberately killed and Ahmadiyya mosques being vandalized. This trend is a major concern for human rights activists and the international community, who are calling on the Pakistani government to take immediate action to protect the rights of minority communities in the country.
